I went to NYC this week for a C-Suite dinner hosted by MarketShare, an analytics company based out of Los Angeles. I have been on MarketShare’s Board of Advisors for 5 years and have had the pleasure of getting to know Wes and Jon. Their leadership and vision have built an impressive brand and many have started to notice, including Forrester Research.
This week, Forrester Research released a report on leaders in analytics trends. Forrester pointed out that MarketShare has “exploded into the cross-channel attribution space” and is one of two providers who “could disrupt the attribution space with their innovative approaches.” I’m thrilled that others see what I see in MarketShare. And I am proud of the work Wes and Jon have done in building an exceptional team.
Later on in the day, top executives from prominent companies came together for an intimate dinner and discussion about the CMO role. The event was called “The New Power Couple: How Big Data and Analytics are Changing the Marketing/Finance Relationship.” I presented alongside Raja Rajamannar, CMO of MasterCard. We led a peer-to-peer discussion on how to build a strong relationship with CFOs to drive CMO effectiveness.
